No Respite

Hello everyone, I wanted to take a moment to applaud all the parents that are bringing their ‘A’ game during this time of struggle.  I see so many posts on Facebook from parents of typical kids, saying how much of a struggle it has been to be isolated with their children.  Now, I’m not saying that these parents  don’t have their struggles, however, with little to no respite care available for parents of special needs children, these parents are having to pull duty 24/7 without that much needed sanity break.  It can be overwhelming at times for both parents, and our children.  If you’re a single parent of a special need’s child or adult, I truly applaud your efforts.  It may be difficult, but try and find at least 30 minutes a day for yourself.  Relax, meditate, do something that helps you unwind.  As I am considered an essential worker, I am still working Monday through Friday, leaving the brunt of the responsibilities with Max’s mom. I care for him on the weekends.  I wanted to just tell her, and all the moms out there, how much I appreciate your efforts!  You all rock!
